Our Client is an independent Japanese Value-added Reseller and a Systems Integrator focused on driving value for its customers in the areas of IT Networking, Storage and has been pivoting to focus on cybersecurity over the past 3 years.

The Company’s traditional business was reselling, deploying/integrating data center equipment such as servers, network, and storage. In 2016, while seeing the trend in cybersecurity market, the Company had recognized a gap in their solution portfolio/line card around cybersecurity and had begun to expand their cybersecurity solution portfolio. At this time they first started engaging with our founder, Tony Zirnoon CISSP of HCV Corp. At the same time, they had also invested in building up their business development efforts in Silicon Valley, looking for innovative and promising cybersecurity startups wanting to expand footprint in Japan.

CHALLENGE

With the rapid launch of new focus on expanding revenues from security solution portfolio and services offerings, the Company needed to create a radical and effective strategy to rapidly evaluate select complementary and effective cybersecurity solutions to add to their portfolio. The bigger challenge was the fact that they, like many others, were dealing with the cybersecurity vendor fatigue. They have been able to help their existing clients, MSSP partners, and new clients to tackle multiple business challenges and address cybersecurity gaps while increasing their revenues from their cybersecurity portfolio and services.
